The selection boxes are all different, made up from whatever is looking it’s best in the field. We guarantee at least 3 different varieties per order but cannot guarantee any particular flower.
Flowers currently in bloom that you might find in the selection boxes:
Poppies: Warm tones of rich orange to acid yellow, peach, cream, lemon and white – these will arrive in bud
Ranunculus: A firm favourite here at Petalon. a spectrum of colours and shapes with a spectacular vase life of well over a week
Tulips: From fringed petals to fluted forms, crinkled parrot tulips and sleek elegant stems.
Butterfly Ranunculus: Glossy petals, like gorgeous giant pink buttercups.
Sweetpeas: Delicate in both appearance and scent, these guys lit up 2021 and our first stems are coming off the vines now.
Sweet Rocket: New to our farm, like the sweetpeas these have a lovely scent to go with their unique flowering (almost a mini hydrangea)
Cornflower: Needs no introduction. We are growing a spectrum of lesser spotted colours to keep this cottage garden favourite interesting.
Aquilegia: The OG Granny bonnet. We love these delicate dancing blooms. Side blooms flower once king flower passes, prolonging vase life.

Our beautiful poppies have been an unexpected success. Sent in bud, these delicate wiggly stems pop open to reveal papery petals in warm tones of rich orange to acid yellow, peach, cream, lemon and white. The vase life of each poppy is only around 3-4 days but the continual popping of buds gives you an overall vase life of 5-6 days. £34 (36 stems)
We’ve grown an array of shapes, sizes and colours. From fringed petals to fluted forms, crinkled parrot tulips and sleek elegant stems. As they are all blooming at different rates we cannot guarantee which tulips will be in which delivery but they will be picked before their prime allowing them to flower at their fullest in your home. £34 (18 stems)
The Ranunculus are starting to kick into gear in the field. For the moment we are offering mixed colours and as the season progresses we will have single variety options. Some of the petals look dip-dyed whilst others have stripes and others have scalloped edges. They really are the most fantastic flower (in our humble opinion) £34 (26 stems)
These special little gems are back in the field, stronger and taller than last year. The glossy petals are incredibly unique and make it abundantly clear that they are part of the buttercup family. These flowers have a cracking vase life, and when the king flower goes past its best just snip it off and the side buds will burst into flower too. (26 stems)
The most sought after blooms we’ve ever grown. This assortment are slightly more open than most ranunculus, some of them appearing more like coffee coloured poppies. The tones range from deep burgundy and rich mahogany (sorry, Anchorman references were not intended but also we’re going to leave them in) to burnt orange and striped mustard. There isn’t really a cut flower like it. The cherry on top is that they have a cracking vase life of over a week. £34 (12 stems)
We offer gift subscriptions to our Cornish-grown field flowers. These will run for 4, 8 or 12 weeks from the start of our main growing season which will be in mid April . Each week the recipient will receive a different mixed selection of flowers grown right here on our farm (these flowers are not arranged in a bouquet).
