How it works.

Petalon has a weekly choice of two bouquets that go up on the website every Monday morning when we arrive back at the studio from the flower market.

Our team of florists spend the mornings going to market, making up all the bouquets, getting all the notes written out and wrapping all the bouquets, ready for when our riders arrive to pick up the day's deliveries at midday. We take same-day orders until 12 noon. Once the riders have packed up and left we can't take any further orders for that day.

The bouquets are wrapped tightly in hessian to protect them on transit, they also have a small water source to see them through the day. They must be transferred to a fresh water source as soon as possible. All of our packaging is either biodegradable or recyclable.

The riders all have specific routes that we create every day in the most efficient way for getting everyone's flowers to them in time. For this reason we do not offer time slots. All deliveries are made between 12pm and 6pm. When you order your flowers you will see that we have options for you to let us know what you would like us to do with the flowers if the recipient isn't in, like 'leave with a neighbour', or 'hide in the bin store' etc, but as our product is perishable we do not do re-deliveries. Though our riders will try their best to deliver on your chosen day, if the address is incorrect or the recipient is in Mykonos for 2 weeks and our riders have already left on delivery then we can't refund your order.

We cover a very large chunk of London, our delivery area can be found here. If your desired address is not listed then feel free to email and request it, but in most cases we can't make exceptions.

Once delivered, our riders will email you with confirmation. With many addresses like large offices or communal buildings, we aren't allowed to give the flowers direct to the recipient. If we have to leave in the postroom or give to the receptionist then we will always provide the name of who we gave the flowers to.

We donate £1 of every bunch we deliver to Bee Collective, a not-for-profit enterprise which helps Londoners help bees.

Bees and other insects are important pollinators that give us our beautiful flowers as well as the fruits and vegetables that we eat.  But they have suffered in recent years due to habitat loss, pesticides and new diseases. Bee Collective provides honey harvesting services to London’s beekeepers and opportunities for everyone to get involved through its weekly volunteering sessions.  It uses our donations and the profits from honey sales to help improve London’s landscape for bees and people.

Terms and Conditions

Privacy Policy - We do not share customer details with any third parties.

Delivery Policy – We deliver every afternoon between 12pm - 6pm Monday to Friday (except Bank Holidays). We do not give delivery time slots. We do not accept any responsibility for the failure of post rooms / reception at commercial addresses to deliver flowers to the intended recipient. If you do not want your flowers being given to a post room, please provide delivery instructions in the field provided on the order form or supply a contact number for the recipient. If the recipient is not at the original delivery address and you would like to offer an alternative delivery address, our riders will only deliver to this address if it is within a reasonable distance or can be worked in to their delivery route that day. We ask customers to check the delivery address they are sending to and whether they are able to accept flowers (hospitals, for example, don't always allow flower deliveries). We do not accept any liability for incorrect address details leading to incorrect deliveries.

Refund / Cancellation Policy – Customers need to cancel their orders before 11am on the day of delivery to be eligible for a refund. If our riders have already left for delivery, we have assigned a bunch to your order - as our product is perishable, we are then unable to use that bunch for a different order and so cannot offer a refund.

Our flowers are subject to availability. If a particular flower isn't available we will replace it with one of equal or greater value.

Please feel free to contact us to clarify any of these points or anything else. Our details can be found on our contact page.
